Connecting Cloudflare to Your TrustEdge Site

What this is

If you use Cloudflare for CDN, DDoS protection, or DNS management, you can connect it to your TrustEdge account. This lets DNS changes you make in the TrustEdge panel automatically sync to Cloudflare.

Before you start

  • You need a Cloudflare API token. Generate one at dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens using the DNS template.
  • Your domain's nameservers must be pointed to Cloudflare (not TrustEdge nameservers).

How to connect Cloudflare

  1. Click Integrations in the left sidebar.
  2. On the Cloudflare card, click Add.
  3. Enter a friendly name (like "My Cloudflare account") and paste your API token.
  4. Click Save.

How to activate Cloudflare on a specific domain

  1. Go to Websites → click your website → Domains tab → click the domain → Manage.
  2. Find the Cloudflare dropdown selector under the domain name.
  3. Select the API token you added.

All DNS records from TrustEdge will sync to Cloudflare.

Enabling Cloudflare proxy

  1. In Domains → DNS records, edit a record.
  2. Toggle Proxy status on.
  3. Save.

Important things to know

  • One-way sync: Changes made in TrustEdge sync to Cloudflare. Changes made directly in Cloudflare are not synced back and will be overwritten on the next sync. Always make DNS changes in TrustEdge.
  • SSL mode: Set Cloudflare's SSL mode to Full (not Flexible or Strict) to avoid connection errors.
  • Staging sites: Cloudflare can't be connected to staging domains. Use TrustEdge DNS for staging.
  • Before activating: Make sure your DNS records in TrustEdge are correct first, because activating the integration overwrites whatever was in Cloudflare with the TrustEdge records.
  • You can link multiple Cloudflare accounts to a single TrustEdge organisation.
