Downloading a Portable Backup

What this is

You can download a full backup of your website as a portable file. This is useful for keeping an off-site copy or migrating your site to another server.

How to download a backup

1. Go to Websites → click your website → Advanced → Backups.
2. Find the backup you want.
3. Click Download.

Uploading a backup

You can also upload a previously downloaded backup to restore it:

1. Go to the Backups section.
2. Click Upload.
3. Select the backup file.

Good to know

• Portable backups include files, databases, and email — everything needed to restore the site.
• Keep backups in a safe location. If your site is ever permanently deleted, a portable backup is your best insurance.
