Environment Variables

What this is

Environment variables let you store configuration values (like API keys, database URLs, or feature flags) outside your code. Your application reads them at runtime.

How to set environment variables

  1. Go to Websites → click your website → Advanced → Developer Tools.
  2. Find the Environment variables section.
  3. Add your variable name and value.
  4. Save.

Good to know

  • This feature may need to be enabled on your hosting plan. If you don't see it, contact representative@trustedge.gt.
  • Environment variables are available to your website's PHP and application runtime.
  • Common uses include storing API keys, toggling debug modes, and configuring external service connections.
