Setting Up Email on Your Phone or Computer (IMAP/POP/SMTP)

What this is

You can use your TrustEdge email in any email app — Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Gmail app, and more. Here are the settings you'll need.

Email server settings

Protocol Server Port Security
IMAP (recommended) mail.yourdomain.com 993 SSL/TLS
POP3 mail.yourdomain.com 995 SSL/TLS
SMTP (outgoing) mail.yourdomain.com 587 STARTTLS
SMTP (alternate) mail.yourdomain.com 465 SSL/TLS

Login credentials

Setting Value
Username Your full email address (e.g., you@yourdomain.com)
Password Your mailbox password
Authentication Normal password

IMAP vs POP3

  • IMAP keeps your email on the server and syncs across all your devices. This is what most people should use.
  • POP3 downloads email to one device and (by default) removes it from the server. Use this only if you have a specific reason.

Where to find these settings in the panel

Go to Emails tab → click the mailbox. The email client settings section shows the server addresses and ports.

Common problems

Problem What to do
"Authentication failed" Double-check that you're using the full email address as the username, not just the part before the @.
Can't connect Make sure you're using the right port and security setting from the table above. Port 587 with STARTTLS is the most reliable for outgoing mail.
Emails send but go to spam See SPF, DKIM, and DMARC explained to improve deliverability.
