Setting Up Email on Your Phone or Computer (IMAP/POP/SMTP)
What this is
You can use your TrustEdge email in any email app — Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Gmail app, and more. Here are the settings you'll need.

IMAP vs POP3
- IMAP keeps your email on the server and syncs across all your devices. This is what most people should use.
- POP3 downloads email to one device and (by default) removes it from the server. Use this only if you have a specific reason.
Where to find these settings in the panel
Go to Emails tab → click the mailbox. The email client settings section shows the server addresses and ports.
Common problems
| Problem |
What to do |
| "Authentication failed" |
Double-check that you're using the full email address as the username, not just the part before the @. |
| Can't connect |
Make sure you're using the right port and security setting from the table above. Port 587 with STARTTLS is the most reliable for outgoing mail. |
