Turning On Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
What this is
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. After entering your password, you also enter a time-sensitive code from an app on your phone. Even if someone learns your password, they can't get in without your phone.
Before you start
Install a TOTP authenticator app on your phone. Free options include:
- Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
- Authy (iOS / Android / Desktop)
- Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android)
How to turn on 2FA
- Click the account icon in the top-right corner → My account.
- Scroll to the Two-factor authentication section.
- Click Enable two-factor authentication.
- Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on screen.
- The panel will log you out. Your next login will require both your password and the code from your app.
How to turn off 2FA
- Click the account icon → My account.
- Scroll to Two-factor authentication → click Disable two-factor authentication.
- Enter the current code from your authenticator app to confirm.

What to do |
| Lost your phone or deleted the app |
Contact us at representative@trustedge.gt. We can disable 2FA on your account so you can log back in. |
| Code keeps saying "invalid" |
Make sure the time on your phone is accurate. Authenticator codes are time-sensitive — even a 30-second drift can cause failures. |
Important: There are no self-service backup codes. If you get locked out, the only way back in is through our support team.
