Understanding Your Resource Limits
What this is
Your hosting plan includes resource limits that determine how much CPU, memory, disk space, and bandwidth your websites can use. Understanding these limits helps you keep your sites running smoothly.
Where to see your limits
- Your subscription card on the dashboard shows plan limits (websites, databases, email accounts, disk space).
- Resource usage graphs on each website's dashboard show real-time CPU, memory, disk, bandwidth, I/O, and process counts.
Common resource types
| Resource |
What it is |
| CPU |
Processing power for running scripts. |
| Memory (RAM) |
How much data your site can hold in memory at once. |
| Disk space |
Storage for files, databases, and email. |
| Bandwidth |
Data transferred to and from your site. |
| I/O |
Speed of reading and writing to disk. |
| Processes (nproc) |
Number of simultaneous processes your site can run. |
What happens when you hit a limit
- Disk full: File uploads and database writes may fail.
- Memory exceeded: PHP processes may crash or return 500 errors.
- CPU exceeded: Site may slow down or requests may queue.
What to do
- Check your resource graphs to identify what's running high.
- Optimize your site (caching, image compression, plugin cleanup).
- If you consistently need more resources, contact representative@trustedge.gt about upgrading your plan.
