Restoring a Backup (Full, Email, or Custom)

What this is

If something goes wrong — a bad update, deleted files, or database corruption — you can restore your website from a backup.

How to restore

  1. Go to Websites → click your website → Advanced → Backups.
  2. Find the backup point you want to restore from.
  3. Click Restore.
  4. Choose the restore type:
Type What it restores
Website All files and databases (but not email).
Email All mailboxes and email messages.
Custom Pick and choose — any combination of files, specific databases, and/or email accounts.
  1. Confirm the restore.

Warning: Restoring a backup overwrites the current state of your site. Any changes made between the backup and now will be lost and may not be recoverable. Consider creating a manual backup of the current state first.
