Turning On Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

What this is

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. After entering your password, you also enter a time-sensitive code from an app on your phone. Even if someone learns your password, they can't get in without your phone.

Before you start

Install a TOTP authenticator app on your phone. Free options include:

  • Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
  • Authy (iOS / Android / Desktop)
  • Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android)

How to turn on 2FA

  1. Click the account icon in the top-right corner → My account.
  2. Scroll to the Two-factor authentication section.
  3. Click Enable two-factor authentication.
  4. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on screen.
  5. The panel will log you out. Your next login will require both your password and the code from your app.

How to turn off 2FA

  1. Click the account icon → My account.
  2. Scroll to Two-factor authentication → click Disable two-factor authentication.
  3. Enter the current code from your authenticator app to confirm.
