User Roles Explained

What this is

When you add someone to your account, you assign them a role that controls what they can see and do. Here's what each role means.

Available roles

Role What they can do
Owner Full, unrestricted access. There's exactly one Owner per account, and they can't be deleted.
Super Admin Same access as the Owner, except they can't delete the Owner. Can manage all websites, emails, and users.
Collaborator Access to a specific website only. Good for developers or designers who need to work on one site without seeing everything else. This role only appears once you have at least one website on the account.

Transferring ownership

The Owner can hand ownership to a Super Admin:

  1. Go to Users.
  2. Click the Super Admin you want to promote.
  3. Click Make owner.

Warning: This is permanent. The current Owner gets demoted to Super Admin and can't undo it.

Good to know

  • A single login can belong to multiple organisations — for example, a freelance developer could be a Collaborator on three different client accounts.
  • If you need more granular permissions, contact representative@trustedge.gt and we'll discuss options.
